One Year Ago...

A year ago, we stepped foot on Zambian soil as missionaries sent by Resurrection Church. God has sustained and caused us to thrive in our calling this past year. Praise Him and continue to pray for us as we carry out the Great Commission strengthening the churches by training church leaders at CABU.
Here is what God has done so far:
- By His grace, Rachel carried our third child to term and delivered at a local clinic.
- Through His Kindness, Austin is about to begin his second semester teaching at the university (CABU).
- Out of His Goodness, He allowed us to find a property and we have finally begun to work on building a home.
- In His Wisdom, He has given us multiple opportunities to share the gospel and disciple young believers at Kitwe Church.
Picture Highlights from This Year
Below is my feeble attempt to get a picture of the family after Sunday naps!

I (Austin) have been blessed to serve alongside a group of faculty dedicated to training the next generation of African servant-leaders to carry out the great commission. The picture below is from our faculty in-service prayer-fellowship at the beginning of the year.

My students are pictured below holding some of the resources your generosity has enabled them to have. We are looking forward to another semester of digging deep into God's word. By the end of the semester, every student will have translated 1st John from New Testament Greek.

Every week, we have the privilege of worshiping with Kitwe Church. The elders pray for the children every Sunday before they go to be taught God's word. Caspian and Adelaide are front-center.

This is my friend Floyd, who graduated from Faith Children's Village and is now studying at CABU. We are invested in seeing him impact kids for Christ as a teacher. It has been a great joy to impact young men whom I watched grow up at the orphanage.

This past year Caspian was able to take up swimming and be part of a local swim team. This has given us opportunities to connect with people in the community.

Baby Cyrus has grown and is healthy. We have moved from man-to-man to zone-defense now that the kids outnumber us. Thank you for praying for Rachel as she cares for our family.

We are making progress on the demolition of the unstable structure on our property. If God allows, we hope to have a place built by the end of next year. Thank you for praying for us as we searched for this place.

Thank you for your partnership in the gospel. Thank you all for remembering us in prayer this year. We miss you and are praying for you. We look forward to seeing you again—as God allows.
Jesus Over Everything,
Rachel & Austin Hunt
