An Opportunity to Invest in the Zambian Church

Dear family of Christ,

I'm writing to make an appeal to you. I know that your church is focused on following Christ's command to reach the nations with the gospel, and I'm asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with us.

Rachel and I took some time to put this video together to explain our passion for training men for the planting of churches in Africa:

We also put together a partner prospectus PDF with some additional details.

If you watch the video and want to connect please feel free to reach out. My phone number is +1 313.482.8760 and my email address is austin.hunt@ibmglobal.org.

If you already want to partner follow the link below:

Our fundraising is under the authority of Resurrection Church and facilitated by our missions agency IBMGlobal.

An Update Since We First Began Fundraising

When we first invited partners to pray with us and support this ministry, our goal was to move to Zambia and begin serving alongside local churches and Central Africa Baptist University. By God’s grace, that step has already happened.

In 2024, our family moved to Kitwe, Zambia. Over the past year and a half, Austin has served on the faculty of Central Africa Baptist University, teaching Greek and biblical studies, while also being actively involved in the life of a local church. During this time, he has discipled men, participated in men’s ministry, and has recently been asked to consider stepping into an elder role. The needs at the university and within the church have continued to grow.

When we first arrived, Austin continued working in a secular role alongside ministry. This was intentional. It allowed us to get on the ground, meet real needs immediately, and begin serving faithfully without delay. From the beginning, however, we knew this arrangement would be temporary. It filled a gap, but it was never meant to be a long-term solution.

That season has now run its course. Balancing full-time secular work with teaching and church ministry is no longer sustainable for our family or for the opportunities the Lord has placed before us. As a result, we are stepping forward in faith to transition fully into ministry and are raising the support needed to return to Zambia and continue this work long-term.

We are deeply grateful for those who have already partnered with us through prayer and financial support. Your partnership has made it possible for us to serve, to teach, and to become meaningfully integrated into the life of the church in Kitwe. We now invite others to consider praying with us and, if the Lord leads, partnering with us as we continue the work of training pastors and strengthening local churches in Zambia.

Jesus Over Everything,

Austin & Rachel Hunt
